Well, Makenna went all last year and Summer so it wasn't really her first day of preschool, but I didn't want her to be a scrub when all the other kids were in their shiny new back to school clothes, so we put on some new duds :)
her poor eyes are a little bit swollen still, but at least they weren't scary like they were this weekend!
Of course she told me Jason needed his new clothes as well, so we had to pose with those too ;)
Hmmm... the weekend went by in a blur as usual. MiNiMa came up for a couple days mid-week, so that was a fun treat. We didn't have much play time (darn that work!), but still got some visiting time in. We also played in the fountain at Water Front Park downtown Portland after picking up MiNiMa from her office one day.

In theory it was fun, but apparently city water has cooties so we'll just stick to our country-fied parks! It turned my sweet girl into a mutant Sloth-looking creature. Apparently some got in her eyes and ran amuck. Green ooze, tears and all. Disgusting!
the next morning...
We fed the ducks across the street the next day, and although she still had a bum eye, they weren't too scared of us ;)

She rode her bike - she is getting better and better each day!
And he scooted for a couple minutes, but then rode in the push car the rest of the way :)
On Sunday we got a fun visit from Uncle Wyatt, Uncle Travis and Aunt Laura! Wheeee! It was really great to see them all, but especially Wyatt. He lives out of state and I don't stay in touch with him nearly as much as I should :( It was so nice spending time with them, although I wish it was more. I hope they don't mind if I post pictures of them...

We went bowling and Makenna did great
Jason had fun too

It was so much fun and makes me sad that Wyatt is so far away. I need to go work for an airline so we can get free tickets!
